Photographing Heritage ...

The website is primarily devoted to two projects, both on historical buildings in China, namely to photograph the many surviving foreign buildings in China's former treaty ports and leased territories and, secondly, all of Hong Kong's 120 Declared Monuments.

There is also a collection of landscapes and, for the ultimate landscape, one of panoramas. Finally, there is a small collection of people I have met on my travels.

Please contact me should you wish to use any of these images. I am keen to support heritage projects, historical publications and anything involving education.

Recent: I am currently working with a publisher in Hong Kong to produce a book on my collection of Treaty Port images; completing this book will be my priority throughout 2018 and a large part of 2019.  December: The text is complete and being edited and I have a rather long 'short list' of images!
